NoSpamToday! for Workstations - Features and Benefits

Anti Spam Filter for Exchange, IMail, Domino and any other mail server

NoSpamToday! for Workstations blocks spam before it gets to your email client. It works by accepting POP3 connections on port 110 of your computer's loopback interface, and forwarding all requests to your ISP's POP3 server.

The technical details of how NoSpamToday! works: Your mail client initiates a POP3 connection to your ISP (internet service provider), to retrieve all the mail you haven't seen yet. NoSpamToday! for Workstations positions itself in between, mails retrieved from your ISP are passed through the built-in attachment blocker, a virus checker (optional) and the award-winning SpamAssassin™. filter. Of course, all you really need to know is that spam won't get through to you!

The ideal email spam filter for workstations.

Fight Spam with Award-Winning SpamAssassin!

SpamAssassin combines the most effective and advanced anti spam technologies into one powerful solution that accurately determines if a message is or is not spam. It uses a comprehensive list of heuristic rules and checks to score messages. This filtering is completely automated, and spam-scoring thresholds are customizable. It also includes Bayesian filtering and offers many additional features, such as complete spam message reporting, header reporting and much more.

SpamAssassin uses the following tests and techniques to identify spam:

The result of all these tests is added up to form a spam score. A mail is considered spam if the score exceeds a configurable threshold.

In the typical configuration, the subject of mail identified as spam is modified to flag it as spam mail, and a SpamAssassin™ report is added to the message. Now it is up to your mail client software (Outlook, Eudora etc,) to decide what to do. You can automatically delete spam mails, or move spam mails to a quarantine folder.

The outgoing mail path is left as is, mail is still directly delivered to your provider's SMTP server.

Virus Filtering with NoSpamToday!

NoSpamToday! has an integrated attachment blocker, and has built-in support for many third-party virus checkers, such as Clam AV, F-Prot Anti Virus, or McAfee VirusScan just to name a few.
